How it works

How it works
From neighbourhood conversations to community-led action.
Circular Futures Collective turns local conversations into neighbourhood insight, public participation and community-led action.
SIX-STEP PATHWAY
• 1. Meet people where they are — in schools, youth centres, workplaces, parks, community spaces and online.
• 2. Doughnut Conversations — short, accessible conversations that gather local concerns, ideas and hopes.
• 3. Civic Praxis Labs — deeper workshops where communities explore issues and co-create possibilities.
• 4. Neighbourhood Doughnuts — what people share is visualised as a picture of social needs, local pressures and opportunities.
• 5. Participatory Platform — residents explore the Doughnut, submit ideas and vote on the projects they want to see.
• 6. Circular Missions — the strongest ideas become local prototypes, learning and evidence for future policy and investment.

WHAT THIS CREATES
• Local insight. A clear, shared understanding of what matters most in our neighbourhoods.
• Civic agency. People build skills, confidence and connections to shape change together.
• Community voice. Diverse voices are heard, represented and reflected in decisions and priorities.
• Actionable prototypes. Local ideas are tested, scaled and shared to drive systemic change.
